Clothing Spirit Wear Theme for 3/1 Rehearsal!
UNDERGARMENT & CAST SHOE NEEDS!
PLEASE CLICK HERE to view the additional undergarments, shoes, socks, and/or tights needed for your participant. If it is not listed in this document, we are providing all necessary costume pieces!
At the bottom of the sheet, you will find separate tabs for Lower School Cast, Middle School Cast, and Crew.
Thank you so much for taking the time to carefully review the guidelines. We truly appreciate your partnership in helping our performers feel confident and stage-ready. We absolutely welcome inexpensive options and knock-offs; however, the type of shoe is very important and must match the style listed for your child’s assigned role.
π« No tread sneakers on stage.
Shoes must have a flat tread (not waffle-patterned) and align with the overall costume style.
We also have a few additional costume needs — primarily undergarments and socks/tights — for our Middle School Cast.
Compression shorts are a must, as they help keep each performer’s microphone securely in place throughout the show. This small detail makes a big difference in helping everything run smoothly.
Please be especially mindful of the specific style and look assigned to your child’s character and grade level when selecting shoes. Each role has a designated requirement, and matching the style helps us maintain the production's visual storytelling.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
As we are in high season for the show, I may receive upwards of 400 + emails per day and am often in rehearsals, classes, meetings, with vendors, or build sessions away from my computer. I promise I will respond as soon as I am able. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding — it truly means so much.
I am deeply grateful for your support and partnership as we bring this magical production to life together.
ALL CAST & CREW WILL WEAR YOUR SHOES FOR A SHOE PARADE (so we can check to ensure your shoes are in the correct style/color) ON SUNDAY, MARCH 15, 2026. THIS IS MANDATORY!

STAR WALL
Dear Friend of the Arts,
The excitement is truly building as rehearsals for Shrek JR. continue to bring energy and joy to our halls. We are thrilled to begin filling the Rosenberg Performing Arts Theatre this week with our Sponsor and Patron seating and cannot wait to share this special production with our community.
Sponsor Seating Window:
• Opens: Wednesday, February 25 at 8:00 am
• Closes: Wednesday, March 4 at 8:00 am
Public ticket sales will still begin in the pre-dawn hours of March 5.
Thank you for your continued support of our theatre and fine arts programs. We are so grateful for the many ways you help make productions like this possible, and we look forward to welcoming you to what promises to be an unforgettable show.
Warmly,
Drew Frank and Kendrick Phillips
LS Cast appears in all 4 shows and is sprinkled throughout the theatre, in the aisles, on the stage, and in front of the stage.
As we are still blocking the show and haven't had 100% cast attendance at rehearsals, it is impossible to release 100% of exactly where each LS participant or grade is placed at this time, BUT this is a very good guideline to follow when selecting seats if you have a Lower School Cast Member.
Dear Parents,
With a little over 21
days until showtime, we are in the final stretch of bringing Shrek to
life! The excitement is building, and the dedication of our young performers is
truly inspiring. As we approach these final rehearsals, we need your help to
ensure the best possible experience for everyone.
While we love
and support the many activities our students are involved in, we simply must
make Shrek the top priority for the next couple of weeks. At this stage, we
can no longer accommodate early releases, late arrivals, or partial rehearsals
without significantly impacting the scenes your children are in and the overall
quality of the production.
Every rehearsal
from this point forward is essential. We have just two Sunday rehearsals
left before Tech Week, and full attendance is critical for refining
choreography, staging, and ensemble work. As a reminder, the following
rehearsals are mandatory:
- Sunday,
March 8th & Sunday, March 15th
- Tech
Week: March 17-20
Any absences
(except for illness) during these final rehearsals may result in adjustments to
participation in certain numbers, including the curtain call.
Thank you for
your continued support and partnership. We can’t wait to share this incredible
production with you soon!
Warmly,
Kendrick, Michelle, Bob, and Drew
WEARABLE TECHNOLOGY
To minimize distractions during rehearsal, we need your help getting our cast "offline" while "on-stage." M-8th Students should not wear Bluetooth devices to Sunday rehearsals, tech week, and the shows and should leave them at home. These devices also affect our sound system. Thank you for your assistance with this.
HAIRSTYLES & MAKE-UP FOR LOWER SCHOOL CAST WILL BE RELEASED ON THE BLOG ON EARLY NEXT WEEK.
